Interdisciplinary Award for Environmental Education

The Interdisciplinary Environmental Education Award is a program in partnership with the Joinville Department of Education to raise awareness among children and adolescents about the importance of actions that promote sustainability and in 2019 reached its 9th edition.

At the launch of the award, activities are disclosed for schools to develop during the school year, always related to the program's proposal.

During the year, schools carry out activities, with students from kindergarten and elementary school, and many of these tasks have great participation from parents and the community. School units with the best score on assignments receive school unit awards such as multimedia projector, computer and speakers.

One of the tasks consolidated by the Interdisciplinary Award is the elaboration of an Environmental Education Project to be applied in the entity in the following year. The best project receives a donation of R$5,000.00 for its implementation.

In the 9 years that UVS Essencis Joinville has developed the Interdisciplinary Award for Environmental Education, around 90 schools in the municipal education network have already participated, directly and indirectly reaching more than 40 thousand children from the school units. The award's premise is to encourage environmental education from the early school years.

The project shows how the involvement of society as a whole is possible, and necessary, to build more environmentally conscious generations and a protected environment.
